Tensions Escalate as LA Kings and Anaheim Ducks Face Off, Resulting in Goalie Ejection
The Battle of LA is extremely underrated in the NHL. Apart from the two teams being less than 40 minutes away from each other, they have always brought a fierce passion to games against each other.
While the Ducks are in the midst of a rebuild, and the Kings are at the end of their window, the two will always combine for an exciting matchup.
Last night, the excitement went to another level, as the recently extended Pheonix Copley of the LA Kings decided to throw some punches in a netfront scrum.
This prompted John Gibson of the Ducks to skate over to centre ice, but unfortunately referees prevented the goalie fight we all wanted to see.
We did, however, get to see the rare event of a goaltender game misconduct, as Copley was ejected for his punch with his blocker.
These two teams definitely bring energy!
