Former Montreal Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin acquired forward Christian Dvorak from the Arizona Coyotes this summer for a conditional first round pick and a second round pick in 2024.
The condition attached to the first round pick was that the CH had to give up the higher of the two, unless there was one in the top 10.
With Monday's loss to the Jets, TSN's John Lu mentioned that no matter how well the Tricolore does between now and the end of the season, the CH is guaranteed to have their pick in the top ten.
It's not a surprise, but it's now settled!
