Halifax Mooseheads young forward Jordan Dumais had an incredible 17-year-old season with 105 points. He's definitely a player to watch in the upcoming draft, as Stephane Leroux mentioned on the "On Jase" podcast.

"He's like the guy that's the most intriguing to scouts. The guy right now has 105 points at 17, that's the same amount of points as Jonathan Huberdeau at the same age, Jonathan Drouin at the same age, Nikolaj Ehlers at the same age. The only players who have scored more points than him in the last 20 years, at 17 years old, are Sidney Crosby and Pierre-Marc Bouchard. The names I just named there are all first round draft picks."

His problem? His skating stroke and his size.

"The problem that scouts have with Dumais is that right now he's racking up points in junior. He's 5'9 and his skate is a little average but it's working. Will he be able to do that at the next level with the skating stroke he has and the size he has? Jordan Dumais you draft him is not to play on a 3rd or 4th line. You need to see him in the top 6. So scouts are asking the question, is he going to be able to make the step?"

Leroux says the Habs have to take the risk.

"I think a team that has a lot of draft picks should take a chance on Jordan Dumais. A team that has a lot of picks is the Montreal Canadiens. He told me ''My skating I'm going to work on it this summer, it's going to be a priority'' but listen the guy is scoring, he has 33 points in his last 11 games. That's 3 points per game, in today's hockey that's phenomenal."
