The Dallas Stars Have Given an Update on Scott Wedgewood, After He Was Stretchered Off The Ice Mid-Game
It was a scary scene yesterday in Sunrise, Florida, as Dallas Stars goaltender Scott Wedgewood was stretchered off the ice mid-game.
Affectionately called Wedgewall' by fans, the backup has become a true favorite in Texas.
Now with some more clarity on the situation, it appears that Wedgewood simply had a scary back spasm, and is now okay.
Head coach Pete DeBoer equally made a statement:
We're going to go home and get him checked out, but obviously, you never like to see that. ... He's not in any danger, he's coherent, all of that stuff.
Thankfully it appears everything will be okay.
