The trade deadline is fast approaching, and Pierre LeBrun revealed on Insider Trading on TSN what the Flyers' asking price is for Claude Giroux.
«The Flyers have warned certain teams that if Giroux is ready to go, he may be the most valuable rental at this year's trade deadline. That comes at a cost.''
''If Nick Foligno rented for a first and a fourth last year, Giroux will be a triple asset package for the Flyers. A first, a young player, and a prospect, or at least two high-quality assets. Giroux is a high-risk investment.»
Giroux reportedly told GM Chuck Fletcher he wanted to be traded to the Colorado Avalanche. His backup alternatives are the Wild and Blues. The Panthers are also keen on Giroux, who may reconsider their offer given Florida's strong start to the season.
Will Giroux leave the Flyers? Let's see who is willing to trade future prospects for a playoff run of Giroux.
