The New Frontrunner for Bo Horvat is Getting Canucks Fans Very Angry!
It's already been over eleven years since the Vancouver Canucks fell to the Boston Bruins in the Stanley Cup Finals.
Despite the time since, it is an ever-present woe in the minds of Canucks fans. While many teams' fanbases would have moved on by now, most teams don't have as passionate of a fanbase as Vancouver.
Due to this, you can imagine the dagger to the heart Canucks fans are feeling having found out that those same Boston Bruins are becoming the frontrunners to acquire their captain, Bo Horvat.
The initial report came from an editor at the Vancouver Daily Hive:
Not sure #Canucks fans would be able to handle the emotional damage of seeing Bo Horvat traded to the Bruins, but trade talks are reportedly "picking up" between the two teams.
And soon after it was repeated by more reputable sources:
One reporter assessed the situation in quite an honest way, stating that the Bruins win every trade deadline sweepstakes they get into, such as Hampus Lindholm last season.
One can assume that the deal would revolve around prospect Fabian Lysell, a roster player, and some picks.
While it won't be easy for Vancouver fans to process, they could very well see their captain lift the cup this season, albeit not in their threads.
