The New York Rangers just signed a shocking free agent

The New York Rangers have agreed to terms on a one-season contract with defenceman Ben Harpur.
The two-part deal is worth $750,000.
In 19 games last season with the Nashville Predators, Harpur recorded one point.
He played four games with Hartford in the AHL this season.
