The San Jose Sharks have agreed to terms on a one-season, two-way contract with forward Evgeny Svechnikov.
The former 19th overall pick by the Red Wings in 2015 has yet to hatch, but all indications are that he has the potential to dominate in the NHL.
One thing is for sure, he's clinging to his dream of playing in the NHL, when he could have very well gone back to his native country and played in the KHL.
Svechnikov had 19 points in 72 games with the Winnipeg Jets last season.
