As you probably know by now, Josh Anderson has been suspended for two games for his very dangerous tackle on Alex Pietrangelo's back in last Saturday's game against the Vegas Golden Knights.

A player will have to replace Anderson on one of the first three rosters and this could be a great opportunity for Martin St-Louis to test his 18 year old rookie, Juraj Slafkovsky, on a more offensive trio with Sean Monahan and possibly Jonathan Drouin.

With a two-game audition, this would be a great opportunity to see where Slafkovsky's adjustment stands, so that he can be given a few more quality minutes during next Tuesday's and Thursday's contests.

With three goals in his last five games, the CH number 20 looks ready to get more offensive opportunities to shine.

Also, the addition of the first overall pick to Sean Monahan could benefit him to some extent. Since he's no longer on the same line as Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield, the points aren't coming as easily for the latter.

It's time to give the 28-year-old more productive wingers and Slafkovsky has been one of the most productive wingers on the CH lately.
