Jakob Chychrun's name is often in the news and yet he still hasn't put on his skates for a game this season because of a recurring injury.
While his return seemed imminent, and it was even possible that he would be able to play last Thursday's game against the Habs, some very bad news came out in the last few hours for him and his organization.
According to Ottawa reporter Bruce Garrioch, who discussed the situation with Coyotes head coach Andre Tourigny, Chychrun has returned home and is still several weeks away from a return.
The 24-year-old defenseman is reportedly still in pain from practicing, which is not a good sign for a return to action anytime soon.
This is also very bad news for the Coyotes, as the organization has wanted to trade their defenseman since last year. An injury like this that takes a long time to heal could greatly slow down teams that would like to acquire him.
Since the Coyotes are asking for a lot in return for their talented back, the fact that the latter is not able to get healthy this season makes the outcome of a transaction delayed.
