Veteran defenceman signs with New York

The New York Rangers may want to add some experience to their young defence, signing a 34-year-old defenceman to a professional trial.
According to CapFriendly, the Rangers have reached an agreement with Matt Bartkowski.
Bartkowski, a Pittsburgh native, spent the 2021-22 season in the American Hockey League with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. In 72 games, he recorded 16 points.
The 34-year-old played 256 career games in the National Hockey League with the Boston Bruins, Vancouver Canucks, Calgary Flames and Minnesota Wild.
