Now that the Canadiens have entered the new year the questions that continues to surround the team is who Jeff Gorton's going to name as the next General Manager and are they going to re-tool or fully rebuild?
The first piece they added is Chantal Machabee as the new vice president of communications. So all eyes from Habs fans world wide are on Jeff Gorton and what he's going to do next. We all have heard the GM candidates, Patrick Roy, Mathieu Darche, Danny Briere and others listed from NHL Rumours.com. The possible ones we heard is a list of nine or ten people candidates.
The chosen one is going to have tough decisions in the World's biggest Hockey market. They are going to have to talk with Carey to see if he wants to stay or waive his no trade to go to a potential Cup contending team. They also have to decide what pieces they want to keep and who's going to move. I think Johnathan Drouin could use a change of scenery, just throwing this out here.
No matter who they end up choosing you can't please everyone, however if that person can help build a Stanley Cup Champion that's what matters and what we all want in Montreal is that 25th Stanley Cup.
