Last month, Minnesota Wild Kirill Kaprizov was denied entry into the United States from his country of origin Russia.
He was accused of acquiring a fake military ID in 2017 to avoid mandatory service. The young superstar is literally stuck in Russia.
«It's scary. It's scary for all of us,» Wild coach Dean Evason told The Athletic. «It's a scary situation in our world. To see somebody as close as we know Kirill, yeah, it's a scary situation. And we hope that it all gets sorted out correctly.»
Here's what GM Guerin had to say about al this.
«He should be OK and we should be OK. But it's delicate and I'd rather not comment on it.»
