Analyst's BOLD Stanley Cup Prediction Has Leafs Fans Going Crazy
There is nothing Maple Leaf fans want more than a Stanley Cup.
Ending the 56-year drought and celebrating a championship in Toronto is a thing of dreams for generations.
Now, it looks like the Leafs have their best team in decades. If there's a year they'll win it all, it's 2023.
NHL Insider Mike Johnson has made his Stanley Cup final prediction, and it's rightfully turning heads. Despite all of the incredible teams out there, Johnson believes we will see a matchup of Toronto and Edmonton.
Here is Johnson's logic for Toronto making it to the final:
"I think the winner of Toronto/Tampa has a great chance of upsetting Boston. They'll be so battle-tested - if it's Toronto, so full of confidence after having accomplished something they've been striving to accomplish [getting past round 1]. They also have played Boston really tough, as has Tampa... the momentum of winning that very big series to start [the playoffs], could propel that team forward."
The Leafs are third in the NHL right now. If they can keep this momentum going, it is a real possibility they win it all.
In this matchup, a cup is coming to Canada either way. That's a pretty big win!
