Former Maple leaf has car stolen, but that's the least of his worries

The Toronto Maple Leafs have had a string of bad luck lately, with last year's annual 1st round-exit from the playoffs, spared no expense.

Mitch Marner was a victim of a car burglary, just minutes from the Maple Leaf's practice spot, after said exit.

This time, however, it wasn't a current player who experienced the car-jacking, but a veteran.

TSN's own Jeff O'Neil's truck was stolen by assailants and out of all the possessions he lamented losing, it was his set of clubs. In the tweet, it was obviously the first thing that came to mind!

As a Maple Leaf, I'm sure he's grown accustomed to the in and outs of the golf game. Luckily though he's covered by insurance, so if anything does happen to his truck, it's taken care of! But custom golf clubs, I'm sure will come at a hefty price, unless he's got a good agent!

With golf season soon approaching, it will be an expensive process to get his gear back up to par, as right now, it's all about "sims". O'Neill no doubt wants to get his golf swing right and finetune his putting skills before he goes head-to-head with Overdrive co-host Bryan Hayes.
