There's been a major update regarding the disappearance of Sportsnet's Jeff Marek. It's been revealed today that he has been reportedly let go by the network.

A spokesperson from Sportsnet broke the news to a member of the Daily Hive that Jeff Marek was no longer a member of Sportsnet. Fans had been wondering for about a month now what happened to Marek as no one heard anything from him and he hadn't posted anything on social media.

According to several unverified reports circulating on social media, Canadian sports broadcasting giant Sportsnet is parting ways with longtime host, analyst and insider Jeff Marek.

Marek has co-hosted the enormously popular '32 Thoughts' podcast with Elliotte Friedman for years now and has evolved into one of the game's most connected insiders in recent seasons.

Fans began immediately calling out Sportsnet on X, as many really enjoyed his podcast and radio show, and this is a terrible loss for the sports community.

Marek went missing after the NHL entry draft in June, and didn't host a single show since, with one of the episodes being completely cancelled.

He also had not made a single post on social media in a month. Many hearts are broken in the community to learn of his possible firing.
