Horrible crime takes the life of 42-year-old Oshawa Generals legend and his wife
After reports emerged of a horrific crime by the Durham Police, it has now tragically been revealed that it was a former Oshawa Generals legend involved.
Over the past few days, reports have emerged of a horrific crime in Durham Ontario, and tragically, we now know that the events took the life of a former Oshawa Generals icon Patrick Montgomery.
A personal note:
These are my friends of 30 years going way back to grade 9.
My friends and I are still trying to wrap our minds around this senseless tragedy but I wanna say this: Pat Montgomery was an absolute gem and an @Oshawa_Generals legend.

42-year-old Patrick Montgomery and 42-year-old Andrieana Montgomery have been identified as the victims in yesterday's homicide.
The accused has been identified as 30-year-old Mark Gordon.
Mark Gordon, age 30 of Oshawa has been charged with First Degree Murder x2.
He has been held for a Bail Hearing.
The accused is known to both victims however the motive behind the murders is still under investigation. This is not a domestic-related incident.
Police will be in the area and ask anyone with information to come forward.
Anyone with cell phone, dashcam, surveillance footage or information about this incident is asked to contact Det. Dorego of the Homicide Unit at 905-579-1520 ext. 5319.
Anonymous information can be sent to Durham Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 and tipsters may be eligible for a $2,000 cash reward.

Male and Female Killed in Oshawa
At 42-years of age, Montgomery and his wife Andrieana are gone way too soon following the horrific act that has left many in the community devastated. Montgomery was a member of the Oshawa Generals from 1999 to 2002, and is beloved within the community and the team, and this event was an absolutely devastating event for those that knew him.
We send our heartfelt condolences to Patrick, Andrieana, their family, friends and everyone that knew them, as they will be in our thoughts and prayers moving forward.
