Jeff Marek's abrupt departure leads to insanely wild speculations

Following Jeff Marek's abrupt exit from Sportsnet, fans began to speculate on why he was let go, and some of those allegations are out of this world.

Rogers Sportsnet said they wouldn't share details as to why Jeff Marek was let go, so fans began to speculate that he possibly took on a job with a rival network, such as TSN. One small detail that has led to many questions is when Elliotte Friedman said that Marek had to leave on a "red eye" following the NHL entry draft. That led many fans to believe he was heading somewhere very important and in a rush.

Fans began to take to social media to share their thoughts on what could have possibly happened.

The Jeff Marek situation makes me think that there is a lot more to the story. The guy was an integral and important part of their operation and he is let go with no explanation other than draft related reasons. Let's hold out for the facts before we start placing blame.

Fans will continue to speculate and spread rumors until Sportsnet decides to come out and tell the truth. Hopefully all these wild rumors will lead to Sportsnert giving in and telling us all the real reasons.
