For the second time in a few months, Carolina Hurricanes forward Max Pacioretty has suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon.
Following this latest announcement, we have just learned that the former captain will miss eight to nine months this time around.
Remember that the first rupture, we were talking about a six-month absence.
Pacioretty underwent surgery in Finland and if all goes according to plan, he will be ready for the start of next season.
Prior to the injury, Pacioretty had three goals in five games.
