A trade has just been made between the St. Louis Blues and Pittsburgh Penguins for draft picks, and immediately after the Blues offer sheeted two Oilers players.

Starting off with the trade, the Pittsburgh Penguins sent a 2025 2nd round pick and a 2026 5th round pick to the St. Louis Blues in exchange for a 2026 2nd round pick and a 2025 3rd round pick.

The reason the St. Louis Blues made this trade was because they had plans to offer sheet two players of the Edmonton Oilers, those being Dylan Holloway and Philip Broberg, as they remained unsigned restricted free agents (RFA) by the team.

The St. Louis Blues have tendered two offer sheets to both Dylan Holloway and Philip Broberg of the Edmonton Oilers.

The Oilers have 7 days to match.

Offer sheet terms from the Blues:Dylan Holloway, two years at $2,290,457 cap hit.Philip Broberg, two years at $4,580,917 cap hit.

Philip Broberg played in 12 games with the Oilers last year and did not score a goal and only had two assists.

Dylan Holloway played in 38 games with the Edmonton Oilers last season and scored a total of six goals and added three assists.
