The Anaheim Ducks appear to have waited too long to trade two of their defensemen. Now they are desperate to get a deal done before the deadline.

Ducks Trying to Sell Kulikov and Klingberg

John Klingberg took a bet on himself and signed a one-year $7-million deal in Anaheim this past off-season. This was in hope that his value would explode for this upcoming free agency.

Unfortunately, much the contrary occurred, and Klingberg has been pretty bad this season. He still carries some value as a trade chip, however,

For Kulikov, there is a bargain factor that makes him an attractive piece. He carries a cap-hit of only $2.25-million, and he's good for at least 2 hits per game.

Both of these pieces have value, but with most of the contenders already having made their big moves, Anaheim could be out of luck.

David Pagnotta brings up Carolina as a destination for Klingberg, which would further bolster their top-tier defensive corps.

We will have to wait and see where this duo of Anaheim defensemen end up.
