BREAKING: the Capitals trade Lars Eller
The Colorado Avalanche continue to add in hopes of winning another Stanley Cup. They acquired a forward from the Washington Capitals today.
While not the player he once was, Lars Eller is still a very competent bottom-six forward. He will add some depth to an Avalanche team that has been crushed by injuries this season.
The Capitals will be getting a 2025 2nd round pick in exchange for Eller.
The Capitals will retain 31%, or $1,085,000 of Eller's cap-hit.
