BREAKING: Major update on Veteran's Corey Perry's termination with the blackhawks
Several reports have confirmed today that Corey Perry has been given compensation after being terminated by the Chicago Blackhawks.
Perry Has Been Compensated For His Termination
After an incident that went viral Corey Perry was released by the Chicago Blackhawks. At the time the Blackhawks were not required to pay Perry for the rest of his contract. However, new reports have confirmed he is expected to be compensated after an agreement between the NHL and NHLPA.
Sounds like there is a small salary cap charge coming for #Blackhawks as a result of the settlement between Chicago, Corey Perry, the NHL and NHLPA after what Perry's camp alleged was an improper contract termination.
Rather than grievance, a financial resolution was reached.
Hearing the NHLPA has reached an agreement with the NHL and Blackhawks to come to a settlement re: Corey Perry's contract termination issue. There was a deadline for Perry to file a grievance that had been extended. So no official grievance was filed
As of now the exact compensation heading to Corey Perry is unknown. However, with a cap charge heading to the Blackhawks likely means some of his contract will be paid out.
There will likely be further updates on the exact compensation being given to Corey Perry. As the updates become public we will bring that information to you.
