With game one of the first round playoff series between the Edmonton Oilers and LA Kings set to get underway tonight, the warnings are already coming. The Kings' Drew Doughty says he and his teammates will be smart about it, but they're coming after Connor McDavid.
"If we get the chance we're going to smack him," Doughty told reporters earlier today.
Doughty admitted a lot of it has to do with a hit McDavid put on LA's Mikey Anderson the last time the two teams met.
"We didn't feel good about it," said Doughty, regarding the hit.
"It's not something we'll forget."
This is shaping up to be a great series, and there are a few guys that will be hitting the ice that have the ability to make it very physical. I'm expecting that to happen almost right off the bat.
