Connor McDavid is coming off one of his worst games of the season against the Boston Bruins. Coming home to Toronto, McDavid seems flustered.

McDavid Flustered in Toronto

McDavid rarely gets to play on a Saturday in Toronto, so it would be expected that he would have lots of friends and family coming to watch him live.

A native of Richmond Hill, Ontario, McDavid is a hometown boy.

«It's always special, a little bit; it's Saturday night,» McDavid told Oilers TV on Friday. «They always have us playing here on a Monday or a Wednesday or something like that, so it's fun that it's on a Saturday."

«I don't have a ton going on (in Toronto), most of my family has moved away and I have buddies that are out and abroad. There is not a ton going on for me, my brother is away as well, so not a lot of people are circling it on their calendar. I'm just having dinner with my mom and that's about it. It shouldn't be bad at all.»

Definitely sounds a little lonely, but that combined with one of his worst individual performances of the season against Boston seem to have him flustered.

«When we play the right way and do the right things, we can play with anybody,» McDavid said. «That's a really good team (Bruins) in a tough building, under some tough circumstances. Going down 2-0 after one is not ideal; it's not a recipe to win against anyone, let alone a team like that.

«We stuck with it, it was a great team win. It's big to show to each other and ourselves when we play the right way and do the right things, we're dialled into our details, we can play with anyone.»

The it's not a recipe to win against anyone is especially worrying, considering the Oilers have a habit of falling behind.

This definitely isn't what you want to hear from a team captain.
