Connor McDavid out of the Oilers lineup tonight against Vancouver
In breaking news, Elliotte Friedman has revealed that Connor McDavid will not play tonight against the Vancouver Canucks.
As the season wraps up, it is that time of the year when teams start taking precautions with their star players. That appears to be how the Edmonton Oilers are handling Connor McDavid as he is day-to-day with an injury, not rushing him back.
Head Coach Kris Knoblauch announced today that McDavid will not play tonight against the Vancouver Canucks.

There is no reason for the Oilers to rush him back to the lineup for the remaining 3 games of the season. The only one would be if they want to support him in potentially achieving the 100 assist milestone. McDavid currently sits at 99 assists, and it is more than likely he will get to 100 if he gets into a game.
We will see if he plays in any more of the regular season for the Oilers.
