Joel Edmundson to miss tonight's game with undisclosed injury
In breaking news today, Joel Edmundson is out of the lineup tonight with an undisclosed injury, which is terrible news for Leafs fans ahead of the playoffs.
Sheldon Keefe and the Toronto Maple Leafs have just revealed that defenseman Joel Edmundson will be out of the lineup tonight as something has popped up for him. This undisclosed injury is terrible news for Leaf fans, as Edmundson missed time previously with an injury.
The Leafs need Edmundson to be healthy for their post-season run, as he is one of the pieces Brad Treliving brought in at the deadline this year as a reinforcement for the Leafs blueline. He has struggled to stay healthy since the trade deadline, and there is really no reason to rush him back for any of the games remaining this year.
Timothy Liljegren will have an opportunity with Edmundson's absence to try and show Sheldon Keefe and the Leafs that he can step up to the opportunity in front of him.
Hopefully, this isn't a major injury for Edmundson and his is back practicing soon.
