Anze Kopitar Addresses His Future as an LA King
Anze Kopitar has captained the LA Kings to two Stanley Cups, and has essentially grown up there.
With his contract set to expire next season, he has broken the silence regarding his next steps.
Kopitar Wants to Be a King for Life
Kopitar expressed his desire to be a one-franchise' player today.
LAK Anze Kopitar wants to retire as a "one franchise player" and would like to have a conversation about a contract extension when he becomes eligible for one in the off-season.
With LA's retool looking successful, it will be interesting to see how the 36-year-old fits.
He's undoubtedly a special player, and is almost a certain future retired number for the Kings. Hopefully he'll be willing to take a major discount to win one more with his team!
