After 18 years and two cups with the LA Kings, Jonathan Quick is currently a member of the Columbus Blue Jackets. It appears he doesn't want to stay there at all.

Quick Desperate to Get Out of Columbus

Jonathan Quick will always be a Los Angeles King. He was drafted there in 2005, won two cups in 2012 and 2014, including a Conn Smythe. A two-time William M. Jennings trophy winner, Quick is no longer the goalie he once was.

With a brutal .870 save percentage this season, Quick can't be relied on in the playoffs. It does however feel like some sort of betrayal for the Kings to have dumped him to Columbus.

Per Pierre LeBrun, the Blue Jackets will look to see if there's a market for Quick. It appears this has been relayed to the goaltender, who would very much like a trade to a contender.

Blue Jackets will try to quickly explore the market before Friday's deadline to see if there's interest on a playoff team for pending UFA Jonathan Quick. Which has has been communicated to the veteran goalie, and well, no doubt would be a desirable outcome for him.

At 37-years-old, it's entirely possible Quick would retire if a trade can't take place. It wouldn't do him justice to end his career playing for the 32nd-place Blue Jackets.

Who knows, maybe Jonathan Quick has one more cup in him? We'll just have to wait and see if anything can transpire before Friday.
