Marc-Andre Fleury's Insane Hot Streak Could Propel Wild Into the Playoffs
Marc-Andre Fleury is one of the greatest goalies of all time. After being drafted first overall twenty years ago, he has won three Stanley Cups, and played for four teams.
His current team, the Minnesota Wild, hedged a big bet when they replaced the aging Cam Talbot with the even older Fleury, but after his recent hot stretch, it looks as if it's paid off.
Fleury's Insane Hot Streak Could Propel Wild Into the Playoffs
Fleury has been unstoppable lately. Going 7-0-0, the only people who have stopped him lately was the referees from fighting Jordan Binnington.
With a 2.13 GAA, and a .936 save percentage, Fleury has been one of the best goalies in the league, and his performances have propelled the Wild to second in the Central division and fourth overall in the West.
In a season where the Wild are locked in with nearly $14-million in buyout penalties, Fleury's play will give them a chance to contend.
It's safe to say the team is feeling pretty good about their tandem.
