Wild's Marcus Foligno Ejected From Game 5 After Dirty Hit
Minnesota Wild Forward Marcus Foligno was ejected from Game 5 of the Wild's first round matchup against the Dallas Stars, after a kneeing collision with Dallas Forward Radek Faksa.
Foligno was assessed a five-minute major, as well as a game misconduct for the incident. Faksa was helped off the ice, but returned in the first period shortly after.
Foligno criticized penalties called in Minnesota's Game 4 loss, questioning the decisions made by the referees during the match, which the Wild lost 3-2.
It has not been made clear if Foligno will face any further punishment, but with Faksa's return early in the game, that appears unlikely.
Faksa thankfully appears to be in good shape following what appeared at first to be a very concerning injury.
