Carey Price and his wife Angela announce sad family news
This afternoon Carey Price's wife Angela Price announced some sad news via her Instagram as the family is in Spokane, Washington. The news released by Angela Price has placed doubt on Carey Price's return to Montreal.
In recent weeks there had been growing buzz that Carey Price would be in Montreal for the Canadiens' last home game against the Detroit Red Wings. Today a family emergency announced by Angela Price has placed this in doubt. According to her Instagram, the Price family is in Spokane, Washington attending a funeral for Carey Price's Aunt Laura.
It wasn't under the best circumstances, but it was a nice visit to Spokane. It was a beautiful service for Aunt Laura.
We had never really explored Spokane, apart from the downtown... It's actually a very nice place!»
- Angela Price
In recent years Carey Price has begun making a return to the Canadiens organization at games and even announcing a draft pick last summer. The upcoming game against the Red Wings was supposed to be the next event in this process.
However, of course, family comes first and Carey should be with his family during such a difficult time. We wish Carey and the Price family the best as they navigate the grief associated with the passing of a loved one.
