BREAKING: Chicago Blackhawks and Ottawa Senators Make a Trade
The Chicago Blackhawks are in a full rebuild. In a flat cap league, acquiring salary dumps is a great way to add assets. The Blackhawks have now made a trade with the Ottawa Senators.
The Blackhawks will acquire defenseman Nikita Zaitsev. In addition, they will receive a second-round pick in 2023 and a sixth-round pick in 2026.
This is great for the Blackhawks, who are adding assets essentially for free in a time where they don't need to compete.
