Head Coach of Over 700-Wins Retires From the NHL
Some big news has emerged concerning the retirement of a renowned coach in the NHL.
Vigneault Retires
Alain Vigneault, the former coach of the Canadiens, Senators, Canucks, Rangers, and Flyers, has announced during an interview with a Quebec newspaper that he is officially retiring from the NHL after a 30-year career.
According to Flyers Nation on Twitter:
"Alain Vigneault said in an interview with the Journal de Québec that he has retired from coaching hockey after 19 seasons in the NHL.
Vigneault is one of only nine coaches with over 700 wins in the NHL, but he never won the Stanley Cup (Two Final appearances).
He had one successful season in Philadelphia before COVID paused the league. The #1 seeded #Flyers lost in 7 games to NYI within the bubble (2nd round). "
We wish him the best in his retirement!
