Marc-Andre Fleury Tears Up in Beautiful Ceremony in His Honour
Marc-Andre Fleury is a legend for a reason. He's been amazing on the ice for over 20 years, but he is also a fan-favourite outside of the rink.
He recently celebrated his 1000th NHL game, and upon the arrival of the team that started it all - the Pittsburgh Penguins - a beautiful ceremony was held.
Emotional Scene in Minnesota as Marc-Andre Fleury Reminisces His Legendary NHL Career
Sparked by a 4-minute long compilation of Fleury's best career moments, most would probably tear up (I did too!).
A timeless inspiration on and off the ice ♾ 🌸
Fleury was caught very emotional by the beautiful sequence, and his good friend Sidney Crosby continued to make the tears shed with his reassuring smile.
With this being the last time the Wild play the Penguins this season, its possible this was goodbye for Fleury, who the team picked first overall way back in 2023.
If this is goodbye, it will be one that will never be forgotten. No other goaltender will ever likely play 1000 games, leaving Fleury forever in the history books. It is truly incredible to watch the final games of one of the greatest careers of all time.
