Pittsburgh Penguins expected to hire Jaromir Jagr
A new report from Rob Rossi of The Athletic is indicating that the Pittsburgh Penguins are expected to hire Jaromir Jagr to a front office role in the near future.
The Pittsburgh Penguins and Jaromir Jagr have crossed over a lot this year. Earlier in the season he was in town to be honored and have his jersey number retired. During that time he met the new front office of the Pittsburgh Penguins including Kyle Dubas.
A new report from Rob Rossi of The Athletic has confirmed that Jaromir Jagr being in town has potentially sparked his return to the organization. While he was in town Kyle Dubas got the ball rolling on trying to convince Jaromir Jagr to work for the organization. Now things seem to be coming to a point where Jaromir Jagr is considering the position.
The Pittsburgh Penguins are reportedly working on hiring legendary winger Jaromr Jágr to their front office, shares Rob Rossi of The Athletic in an interview with Penguins' President of Business Operations, Kevin Acklin.
Acklin shared that the team is ready to enter a «new chapter» after Jágr's retirement ceremony in February. The team has been working on recruiting Jágr ever since, recently making an extra push while visiting Prague for the World Championship.
With the most recent trip and making another push it is clear that Kyle Dubas would value having Jaromir Jagr in the organization immensely. It remains to be seen what Jaromir Jagr's role would be. As of now he still is likely to play in his home country of Czechia again next season. Perhaps a role scouting in that region would be a best fit?
Once the details are worked out and the Pittsburgh Penguins announce the future plans for Jarmor Jagr we will pass that information along to you.
