BREAKING : Lightning Without Key Player For Game 2
The Tampa Bay Lightning had a few unanswered questions before Game 2 of their series vs the Leafs, but one key question has been answered, in a bad way.
It has been confirmed that Tampa Bay will be without Star defenseman Victor Hedman, who is out with what is being called an "undisclosed injury".
Hedman participated in Morning skate prior to the game, but appears to now be inactive for tonight's game.
Hedman was called a game-time-decision by Lightning HC Jon Cooper, who said his injury was a new one.
Hedman played just 6:35 in Tampa's 7-3 win against Toronto. This is just the second hole for the Lightning on Defense, who are also without Erik Cernak, after being injured by Leafs Forward Michael Bunting in game 1. Bunting was suspended three games for the illegal hit to the head.
Tampa, already up 1-0, will hope to keep up the momentum, even with two of their top players now missing from their roster.
