BREAKING: Former Leaf Passes Away
The Toronto Maple Leafs just announced some terrible news.
Ken Girard passes away at 86 years old
Here's the official statement:
We are saddened to learn of the passing of Toronto native, Ken Girard.
Our thoughts and condolences are with Ken's family.
Girard was a right winger for the Toronto Marlboros between 1954 and 1957. He won two Memorial Cup 1955 and 1956.
At just 19 years old, Ken played seven games for the Toronto Maple Leafs before moving to the American League. His hockey career eventually led him to the San Francisco Seals, before he retired at only 23.
We send our condolences to his family.
