Something Holds Back the Leafs.
The Leafs haven't been really good in the playoffs in the last few years. They finally passed the first round last season, but they got eliminated in five games by the Florida Panthers right after.
Something always seems to hold them back...
The real problem within the Maple Leafs organization has been exposed in a recent podcast interview by a former player.
Major Culture Problem
Trevor Moore, a former player for the Maple Leafs, shared an embarrassing story when they were in the playoffs against Boston back in 2019.

They recalled his big hit on Chara in the playoffs for the Leafs.
Trevor Moore said he went back to the bench, and no one said a word to him.
Keefe has made a point of liking guys like Wayne and Reaves who are vocal on the bench."
This is a major indication of how the team culture impacts the performances.
After that reaction, do you think Moore wanted to get back on the ice and hit Chara, one of the scariest players in the League?
If his teammates had welcomed him in a proper way on the bench, he could've pushed even more on his next shift.
Let's hope Reaves, Bertuzzi, and Domi change that mentality and bring energy to the bench.
