Maple Leafs Captain Has A New Funny Nickname For Max Domi
Max Domi is about to play his first official game with the Maple Leafs, and in the last few weeks, he has started to get acquainted with his new teammates.
Domi's Impact on the Leafs' Organization
Max Domi is known to be hard to play against. He brings a lot of emotion and physicality to the game.
On top of that, he's a good player. He's fast, skilled, and smart.
Sheldon Keefe didn't even know that he was that good!
"Sheldon Keefe today saying that Domi is faster and more skilled than he realized."
Everything indicates that he will be a fan favorite in Toronto, just like his father before him!
Tavares Comes Up with a New Nickname for Domi
Domi's inclusion in the team seems to be going well!
The Leafs' captain John Tavares came up with a nickname for Domi.
He described Domi, 5-foot-10, 194-pound, as a "fire hydrant," even when the puck drops, he's more likely to light one up!
"Domi on being told that Tavares recently referred to him as a fire hydrant: 'Fire hydrant? That checks out for sure ... Genetically is probably the main thing. My dad's not the tallest guy but he is pretty much a square. Kind of the same sort of thing I have going.' #Leafs"
Tavares also added this about his new teammate:
"A lot's been made about the competitiveness and being in your face and all that which is part of his personality. But he's a playmaker. He's extremely quick and very strong."
Well, let's hope the "fire hydrant" has a great season!
