Auston Matthews Post-Game Comments is What Every Leafs' Fan Wants to Hear
The Leafs made an epic comeback yesterday in Tampa Bay. They are coming back to Toronto with an unexpected 3-1 lead and could eliminate the Bolts as soon as tomorrow.
The Maple Leafs have been in this situation before. In 2021, against Montreal, they blew a 3-1 lead. In 2022, they blew a 3-2 lead against Tampa.
Auston Matthews' latest post-game comments show that they learned from their mistakes and are coming into game five with the right mindset.
Auston Matthews' Post-Game Comments are What Every Leafs' Fan Wants to Hear
The Leafs are in a position to shut down everyone who said they'd never make it past the first round. They're only one win away from eliminating the mighty Lightning.
After yesterday's big comeback, Matthews said some encouraging things:
"The job's not close to finished. We have to refocus, enjoy this one, but obviously the fourth one is the hardest one to win."
This kind of attitude is the key to winning. Taking nothing for granted and focusing on hard work is what could lead them to victory.
With two goals in game 4, Matthews shows that he is ready to work and do what it takes to win.
Let's hope he can bring the same level of energy for the next game and hopefully get the Bolts out of the running.

Matthews' post-win comments are a pretty good indicator of where the Leafs' heads are at right now
