This afternoon Boston Bruins star Brad Marchand spoke about the playoff series between his team and the Toronto Maple Leafs. During his remarks, Brad Marchand praised the Maple Leafs' new style of play.

Brad Marchand is usually a confident player who backs his team at all costs on and off the ice. Today he had a bit of a change of character complimenting the Maple Leafs. He gushed about the Maple Leafs' new style of play compared to last year.

"They're playing a really good, playoff-type game right now," he said Tuesday. "You knew they would. They're built different than in the past years. They're playing a lot more physical, very committed to forechecking, playing very tight defensively. So, you've got to give them credit. They're one of the top teams for a reason. And then when you add their offensive ability on top of that, they're a tough team to play right now.

This is a major compliment to both Maple Leafs GM Brad Treliving and head coach Sheldon Keefe. The pair has changed their team's style of play. While Brad Marchand complimented the Maple Leafs he eventually came back to focusing on his team.

"We can be better for sure. ... We can definitely prove our game and put a better showing out there," he said.

After going down 1-0 in the series the Maple Leafs put on a strong performance. Capped off by a goal from superstar Auston Matthews the Maple Leafs have put themselves in a solid spot to win the series.
