Toronto Maple Leafs legend Ed Chadwick passes away at 90

It was announced by the Toronto Maple Leafs today that legendary goaltender Ed Chadwick has passed away at age 90.

Ed Chadwick, who played for the Maple Leafs in the 1950s and the Original Six era played 140 consecutive games for the team, something that would never be seen in today's league.

He is the last goaltender of the Maple Leafs to ever play every game in a season, a record which will never be broken.

He had 57 wins in five seasons with the Maple Leafs.

We are saddened to learn of the passing of former Leafs netminder Ed Chadwick.

Ed played in 140 consecutive games in net for the Leafs, and is the last Leafs goalie to play in every game in a season. He played five seasons for Toronto, winning 57 games.

Our condolences are with his friends and family.

Following his retirement from the NHL as a player, Ed Chadwick earned five Stanley Cup rings as a scout for the Edmonton Oilers.

Condolences to the family and friends of Ed Chadwick. Chadwick was the last #LeafsForever� goalie to play in all of his team's games - 140 consecutive (1956-58). Chadwick also served as a Oilers scout earning five Stanley Cup rings.
