The Toronto Maple Leafs will be looking to continue their hot play tonight as they play the Colorado Avalanche. However, there will be some lineup changes for the game.
Leafs Make Last-Minute Change To Roster Ahead Of Game Versus Avalanche
The team announced on X today that defenseman Marshall Rifai has been loaned to the Toronto Marlies of the AHL. Rifai had been called up for the current road trip and got into two games with the team although his performances were rather ordinary in limited ice time.
The @MapleLeafs have loaned D Marshall Rifai to the @TorontoMarlies.
In the two games that Rifai did play, he recorded a single shot on goal and a plus one rating, and averaged 11:40 of ice time. He also recorded 4 hits and a block, showing a willingness to play physical.
The 25-year-old went undrafted but is now finally getting a chance to prove himself at the NHL level. Based on the way he played in those two games, we could see him back with the Leafs soon.
