The Leafs aren't the only team struggling with health issues in the series; the Bruins' captain was nowhere to be found on the ice, hinting that he could be dealing with an injury.
Marchand, who's been an important part of the Bruins' success so far against Toronto, would be a major loss for the organization as they look to eliminate to Maple Leafs tomorrow in game five.
In four games, the captain scored eight points, including three goals. In addition of his important offensive contributions, he remained true to his style. He didn't shy away from making big hits and playing a tough, physical game.
If you missed it, we just reported that Auston Matthews also missed practice today. Without Marchand and Matthews, both teams could compete tomorrow without their most impactful player.
Updates from both organization are expected soon. Even if Sheldon Keefe and Jim Montgomery didn't want to share many details about the players' health since the playoffs started, it's different now. Marchand and Matthews are key players, and media won't like it if they can't have details about their status or next game.
Stay tuned.
