Stories of Craig Berube keep popping up showing how he is one of the most respected figures in the NHL that even enforcers did not want a piece of him.

During the early 2010s, Colton Orr was one of the most feared enforcers in the NHL for the Toronto Maple Leafs. In his four full seasons with the Toronto Maple Leafs, he registered over 100 penalty minutes in all of them and even had one with 239 PIMs.

During this time, Orr would intimidate pretty much anybody and everybody, but not Craig Berube. By this time Craig Berube was long retired as a player but was an assistant coach with the Philadelphia Flyers.

Chris Pronger recently shared a hilarious story about when Orr was talking trash to the Flyers bench, but still showed his respect for Berube.

"It was funny, though, Colton. This is when Colton Orr was in Toronto and he was kind of running the roster. And he's coming by our bench and he's mother******g everybody. And what are you gonna f*****g do? And he's like, I'm not talking to you, chief (Craig Berube) there."

He said that?

"Not talking to you, chief. Respect. I mean, as he's going. And then he saw the chief, like, I think they locked eyes, like, not talking to you. Yeah, I like that thing. I like that."

This is just another testament to how respected Berube is around the NHL. Entering his first season with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Berube will look to coach the Leafs past their playoff struggles to a hopeful Stanley Cup.
