Keefe Reveals Surprising Information Regarding Auston Matthews
Auston Matthews has been dealing with injuries all season.
Now, head coach Sheldon Keefe has revealed some important information.
Matthews Looking Recovered
It's no secret that a sting of injuries have held Matthews back this season.
Far from the Rocket Richard and Hart trophy winner he was in the 2021-22 season, Matthews hasn't been that guy for his team this season.
His most recent injury, a shot block against the Vancouver Canucks, had him clearly shaken, but per Sheldon Keefe, the effects of that seem to be wearing off.
Against the New Jersey Devils, Keefe had high praise for his superstar center:
This is very encouraging news as the Maple Leafs make their final push of the regular season to secure their home advantage over the Lightning.
Hopefully Matthews only gets better as the playoffs approach!
