In the process of searching one perfect option has emerged for the Maple Leafs to go after.
The Toronto Maple Leafs are going to be looking to improve the depth of their roster at this year's trade deadline. Whether that be up front or on defense additions will be made. A new report from Editor In Leaf has indicated that the Anaheim Ducks could be a perfect team to poach players from.
All of the players listed above could be helpful additions to the Toronto Maple Leafs. Each has a skillset that would fill a hole within the Maple Leafs lineup. However, one of these players has the potential to be much more impactful than the others.
Of the players listed above the player with the potential to impact the team the most is Adam Henrique.
Henrique in the past couple of years has been a solid middle six center. While the 33-year-old center is not the player he used to be he still brings a good balance of offensive skill and defensive responsibility.
Henrique's 32 points this season in Anaheim would place him sixth in team scoring just behind John Tavares. Henrique is also a great defensive forward being nominated for the Selke Trophy multiple times in his career.
If the Toronto Maple Leafs really do believe they are close to a championship Adam Henrique is the perfect addition. The Anaheim Ducks could even retain salary to help make the deal easier on the Maple Leafs.
As the trade deadline gets closer and Henrique rumors heat up Maple Leaf fans will be watching to see if they are in the mix for the veteran forward.
