An insider shared when the Leafs could announce their next cuts.
We Now Know When the Leafs Will Cut Players From Their Training Camp
Kyle Cushman revealed on X that the team had a day off on Saturday and that they could announce the cuts today!
The Maple Leafs are set to play against the Montreal Canadiens tonight for the third time in a row. We can very well imagine them announcing the cuts after the game.
The Leafs' pre-season has been great so far, with a 3-1 record. Many prospects have stood out from the pack: Matthew Knies, Nick Robertson, Fraser Minten, and Easton Cowan.
Veterans like Martin Jones, Max Domi, and Tyler Bertuzzi also impressed in their first game in the Leafs' uniform.
This only makes the decisions harder to make, but they still need to cut players. Minten and Cowan, even if they were good, will likely be sent to the AHL training camp set to start today.
Do you think Minten will begin the season with the Maple Leafs?
