William Nylander snubbed by the 2024 NHL all-star game
It feels like we've told this story one too many times. Today, Chandler Stephenson was welcomed into the all-star team following an injury to Matty Beniers.
This means once again that William Nylander has been passed over. First in the original selection process, then over Aleksander Barkov when Auston Matthews went out with injury.
Apparently 59 points in 51 games isn't enough for consideration, despite the fact that Stephenson has only 44
No matter how good Nylander performs, he likely won't ever get the chance to wear the coveted all-star jersey. That won't matter much if he has a Stanley Cup in his future though!
